Emotional Kanye -- My Mom Was My First Fan

Kanye has been tight-lipped on the death of his mother, but on Sunday night at a concert in Belgium, he talked to the audience about his feelings on continuing to perform, the media and what people have been advising him to do since the tragedy.

After West finished talking, he paid an amazing musical tribute to his mom. You gotta watch.

16. He didn't cancel his shows or concert because he is on a contract. If he were to not perform, he probably would've been sued. It's very tragic, regards to Kanya

18. This has got to be the most sickening post I have read on here. You idiot have you ever stop to think that he continued on with his show because it will better help him cope with this traumatic experience? I am sure his mom would have wanted him to carry on. I think some of you need to get a life. If you don't have anything good or therapeutic to say about the man then why waste your time???? SIMPLE MINDED ASSHOLES*******

20. it's pathetic how he's using the death of his mother to gain attention for himself. with a mother or without a mother, he's still an arrogant self righteous a-hole.

21. OOPS I forgot to say GRANDparents, by the way thank you for being a research hound and a complete tard. This is a TMZ site if everything was factual here then there would be no site. So who killed JFK and is Big Foot real?

22. I agree with Kate, some of these disgusting comments are outlandish. The man's mother died and one individual in particular says I'll send him a noose for Xmas. Come on people. TMZ needs to edit some of these comments before they are released. I can't believe people will honestly silly and hurtful things about someone in the face of tragedy. People like this person will have nothing good come to them by displaying ignorance on this site. Get it together people.

24. EDIT EDIT EDIT TMZ- At this point the concept of throwing around the word noose or its use has gone beyond being offensive . It's just not warranted in this case or any other - simply rude!

26. Kanye our Lord and savior writes every life book and chapters. We can be glad that all his lifebooks have Happy Endings. No need to say" be strong," don't be sad "because these are natural feelings.Look to heaven where our help comes from .Hang in there Vintage126

28. Losing anyone you love is a difficult thing. I wish Kanye the best, (althoughI'm not a fan). To Tony Ebony with the noose line, the coward probably can't afford one. Only hillbilly's that live in trailer parks make statements like that. This is 2007, get over your hate!! We were all created by God.

29. I feel his pain. I just think he could also pay his respect to his mom by coming home and helping with the preparation of sending her off. His fans would have understood, And his mom would have loved him to be there. Not to just show up at the last minute. I am also surprized at hearing that he still sounds so arrogant in that clip. I thought the loss would make him a little more humble.

30. he didn't cancel his concert/tour because he believes his mother would want him to "go out on that stage and kill it, be number one."

i think he makes that fairly clear in the video.
