Tiffany & Debbie Gibson "Mask" Their Feelings

Twenty years later, former teen pop princesses Tiffany and Debbie Gibson are still competing against each other -- and Cher is caught in the middle! If I could turn back time!

TMZ spies tell us the Britney and Xtina of the '80s were both recently spotted auditioning for the lead in the Pasadena Playhouse's upcoming musical adaptation of "Mask" -- the 1985 facial deformity tearjerker. We're told Tiffany tried out first and as she exited the room found Deborah Debbie sitting in the waiting room. I don't think we're alone now! While the gals are by no means enemies, we're told the situation was more awkward than their '80s hairdos! Electric youth!

By the way, the thirtysomething ladies are vying for the character Cher played in the film -- not the part of Rocky Dennis. Everyone knows that role should go to Carrot Top.

3. I was a teenager in the '80's, and I would like to know how Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are constantly being referred to as the "Britney" and "Xtina" of the '80's. If I remember correctly, Tiffany had ONE hit, MAYBE two, hit songs and THAT WAS IT. Debbie Gibson was a little more successful, but she had only ONE hit album and then that was it for her.

My sister was REALLY into Debbie Gibson, so I remember HER well. One album.. that was all she had. And frankly, she was only popular with the GIRLS, and not for very long.

Does ANYONE remember either of them being anymore popular than that???

5. Ummm.... Christina and Britney of the 80's??? WOW that is the OVERSTATEMENT of the century. They were both one trick ponies who could not carry through their successes for various reasons. And neither had the dancing ability of Britney or the vocal ability of Christina. Dont give them that much credit. They.... were very much a piece of bubbalicious gum... pretty wrapper, and flavor that vanished in 5 minutes.

The carrot top thing however...was hysterical.
