61. If she is anything like Britney, she won't really see the difference between mothering and having a pet. Brit didn't realize that a child would be hard work. She thought a baby would be cute like a puppy and you could hold it and dress it and have fun with it. Little did the idiot realize that raising a child is hard work.

I hope Britney didn't set such a terrible example for Jamie Lynn that she is going to have problems raising her child. But wait -- JL isnt raising her child. She is handing it off to Mom. Looks like Brit rubbed off on her anyway about taking responsibility for yourself and your affairs properly.

65. This is seriously disturbing. Everyone expects for her to be a bad mother in hopes of seeing her all over the TMZ site. Just the fact that Britney is her sister probably makes this girl want to be the best mother to her kid, so she can be and prove every a-hole on this site wrong. If she woulda aborted the baby, I can't even imagine the horrible things people would say. And she is 16...SO the F what?!! Nickelodeon even put her back on to continue to STAR in her OWN show. She must be doing something right. A young mother doesn't make a bad mother. Instead of people putting this girl down they need to encourage her without saying "hope you do better than britney". It sad that the public has already tagged this girl as "unfit" because of age and her sister. It's not about Britney or her parents. She is probably trying to celebrate the fact that she is making life while the whole world degrades her. You gotta give her some respect people. I hope she finds the faith and strength she needs to raise this baby with all the love she can cuz the public isn't helping.

69. I can't remember what other site I read this on, but there was some type of speculation that there might have been a particular point in time or incident that made Britney start to lose it. A rumor was that she had an abortion. If that is the case, maybe when JL found out that she was pregnant, and because she knew how the abortion affected Britney mentally, she decided that she wasn't going to have an abortion and have the kid.

An interesting theory. Maybe not true.

70. Jaime Lynn looks about as sad as Jessica Alba did when she first found out that she was pregnant. There's no place for her to run because her fun has just begun. The difference is that Jessica Alba is older and seems to have adjusted to her pregnancy. We'll see how Jaime Lynn handles motherhood. Good luck!

They really oughta think of adoption, complete with a disclaimer on the kid about the mental illness that runs through the family. Just sayin' that's all.
